Awful Awful Awful - Venice city, Italy

Waited in line for an hour.
Computers down. Agents chair and desk fell apart in front of us.
Rude staff. Two female Budget agents had a blazing row in Italian in front of everyone
We were lucky and got a dirty car with no petrol "no fuel in Venice" Lie.
Most were far more unlucky. We witnessed:

- An American who had pre ordered and prepaid for an automatic to be told she had ordered it at 8am and it was now 10am so as you are late we let it go (despite them arguing that the reason they were late was the hour long queue!
She was offered a larger auto but had to pay extra

- A couple who had pre ordered and prepaid for a child car seat to be given one without seat belts. When they complained were told "You are hiring a car not a car seat"

- A Spaniard who had booked a GPS and (after an hour) was likewise told he was hiring a car not a gps and that if he wanted a gps he should go to a supermarket; after more shouting he got his gps.

- An English couple who turned up 5 minutes before their booking time and were told there was no car for them since someone had wrongly returned it to the airport and what were they complaining about as they were early anyway

What an absolute shower of incompetence.
I did not check reviews before I left as I knew this was a well established international brand. How wrong can you be
