Booked vehicle via economy and voucher was for budget car hire to supply it. On arrival at airport there was no shuttle bus - had to walk around hallways of the airport and across car parks to reach it, the driver was missing and had to be telephoned to return to the bus. Taken to office where it was pitch black outside and collected car. Told I had to pay for a full tank of fuel = 58 euros. Throughout the office procedure the rep was talking on his mobile telephone to a friend of his. Car could not be checked properly because it was so dark. Also the car was parked on an incline - fuel gauge showed nearly full. BUT once on a level stretch of road the gauge readjusted and car was only three quarter full of fuel. Parking the car on the incline seemed to be done so that the fuel gauge showed as full- or am I just being suspicious. The car itself was ok, not new (and not the make/model I expected) but it did not break down. Will not use budget car hire again.
