Hired a car in the USA last summer. This had been booked via British Airways. The agent on the desk lied to us twice and we have ended up paying an additional $450 for a Ford focus hybrid when the original agreement was for a Ford Focus or similar. They only had a smaller car and as we were there for five weeks we needed a reasonable size. we were assured twice that the vehicle did not require additional payment. It has taken 6 months for the credit card company to advise that as Avis paperwork was in order their bank had declined our claim. Do not rent from them as they lie. I will never use this company again and dealing with their customer services is dreadful. they do not respond and when they do they say something different each time
