I rented a car from Avis in Fort Myers, only to find unexpected charges on my card when I got back home.
The charge was for £120.00 worth of extra insurance that I was unaware had been added to the rental agreement I signed.
Moral of story - Trust no-one and take time to read and understand what you are signing.
We go to florida once or twice every year and this is the first time I have been caught out like this ( also the first time I have used Avis).
As you can imagine it is the last time I or any of my family will use Avis.
Also got ripped off on fuel, the travel agent said in writing that a full tank of fuel was included, but Avis's rental agreement required us to return the car full, therefore no tank of fuel included.
The daft thing is, if I had been offered the insurance instead of it being added without my knowledge, I would have purchased it. I hate being ripped off!
