They obviously don't want your business. Tried to extend car hire by one week. Only way to do this is through local depot where you collected car. Central reservations, website, etc. cannot amend your booking. Central reservations answer calls within a few minutes. Local hire office - on hold for 30 minutes to premium rate, no answer and sent back to central switch board. Held again for another 30 minutes premium rate... Still no answer. Over an hour on hold on premium rate numbers ad still no answer!!! What a ridiculous way of doing business. Not a one off either, had this before. Does anyone at "Avis customer service" care. Clearly not.
Only one person in the whole of Avis worldwide can change your booking.... Pathetic set up for an international company.
