Had an expensive and poor experience with Avis. We booked online and were charged with a $300 dollar extra expense when we went to get the car. They said it was for insurance and fee for dropping off in a different location from pick up. We checked with our Insurance company who assured us we were covered on our own auto insurance for this vehicle. The lady at Houston airport refused to accept this and said if we didn't sign for the fees we could not rent the car. We will not rent from them again and caution other travelers when doing so.
