we arrived at the hertz desk I handed my paperwork over and was told by a staff member that I had no insurance for the excess, when I said I had, and it was through Auto Europe, he said no sir you will have to pay the excess if the car is stolen or you have an accident, and was adamant that I had not cover, my son was stood at the desk with me. At that point I should have phoned Auto Europe, we where in a crowded office with people queuing, my wife was also next to me, she has alzheimer's, so I was keen to get out. the staff member miss sold me the insurance at a cost of 301 euros. when I tried to speak to the Hertz staff a day later they were not interested. this noway reflects to service of Auto Europe they have been helpful but I fear my 301euros are gone.
