They charged 68% more for the tank of fuel than it should cost. I understand that they may charge a little more than standard but 68% more is unethical and profiteering! I have asked for a €34 refund and been very nice about it but they have refused which gives me the inclination to advertise their lack of moral compass online via a variety of review websites so as to help others not get caught out the same way. This is 'shark practice' and they should not be allowed to operate this way! If I had known that I was going to be well and truly ripped off on the fuel overcharge, I would not have rented in the first place.

Its not a car rental company at all - merely an agent. Uses second rate rental company providing badly prepared older cars and the collision damage waver policy is through another third party, which means the rental company still take the full credit card deposit for damage. Avoid!

We booked through www.aurigacrown.com and selected full insurance and pick up at the airport. After we clicked 'commit reservation' the reservation turned out to be with another car hire firm (Gold Car), they were located off the airport and would not accept our prepaid insurance forcing us to purchase another package on top of the one already paid for. The customer service phone routes to Ireland and they pretty tell you thee's nothing you can do about it...

Since 2003 we've rented cars at Auriga. High service, low costs and new cars. Even in 2010 I've tot what I've ordered and Auriga die have an office at the Alicante airport. Yes, I had to pay an extra €30 for insurance and about €60 for petrol. I was used to it. This year (2013) I ordered again a car at AurigaCrown. This time I had to pick up my car at Dickmans. They did nog have an office at the airport, but an acceptabele shuttlebus system. This time I've got a brand new Corsa. A

We have just tried to reserve a hire car with Auriga Crown because we have used them before without problem, they offer a half tank, return empty fuel policy and have an office at the airport. We received confirmation from Centauro who have an office away from the airport, offer a full tank return empty fuel policy and have informed us that Auriga crown are no longer trading. We have sought to cancel the hire agreement within 24 hours of booking but their response does not accept the cancellation and tries to pacify us by confirming that they have three minibuses to pick customers up from the airport and are only 4 minutes away. Whilst we have used off site rental companies before (and have no doubt that Centauro is a reputable company), this was prior to us having a small child and frankly I don't want to wait around for a minibus that won't have childseats. We have since tried to book with Argus because they advertise having an office at the airport and guess who we have received confirmation from? Centauro! I appreciate that hire companies may use different hire car providers but I at least expect not to be misled by advertising. The search continues!

I rented a car in Malaga. Dented, old and a real lemon. On the way back to the the airport, very early morning, it was pooring rain. The windshield wipers were both broken so we couldn't even drive it to the nearest gas station. We had to take a taxi and are still waiting for a refund. Or reply to any of my emails for that matter. This was December 2nd of 2011, more than four months ago. At the helpdesk all they cared about was where the car was and why we didn't bring it back. Well maybe because I couldn't see **** and was not willing to risk my life for the piece of **** car you rent out! Emailed Easy Car about it. They don't do business with them anymore. That's a great move Zen... Nouk, the disgruntled customer.

When I reserved a car on web site they offer to me Ford Fiesta (or similar). Instead I got a Toyota Yaris 1.3 as it was acceptable. Unfortunately, the officer who gave me the car (Mrs. Paula Suarez) did not mention the most important difference between the Toyota Yaris 1.3 and any other car! Fuel level indicator in the Yaris 1.3 can not signal the "reserve" with a red light, but shows the "blink" state as 1 / 3 tank. Please note, this is the only car from Auriga Crown rents without red light for "reserve". I think that is unacceptable negligence not to inform the client of such an important difference between this and any other car. This is exactly why I ran out of fuel on the road. Please note that I am a driver with 40 years of driving experience and so far I have never been in this situation. As a businessman I often use car rental around the world and I've always been warned to specific characteristics of each car. Due to the negligence of Auriga Crown staff put myself in a very difficult situation in which fortunately for me, helped my business partner from Marbella. And instead of myself as damaged parties request an indemnity, Auriga Crown for its failure charge me 150.00 Euro? For these reasons, I demanded from Auriga Crown to immediately cancel the invoice to 150.00 euros, and I expected an apology to failure because it did not provide vital information for security and inconvenience to me because it caused. Of course, I never got my money back and never got a single word of apology. Never again Auriga Crown!

Outrageous and complete rip off fuel policy on the car hire. I hired a car from Thursday (11am) until Sunday(5pm) from Girona airport with Auriga Crown. The fuel policy was not explained to me at all when I picked the vehicle up. It was written as full to empty on the contract but I foolishly thought they would fill the vehicle on our return and deduct the amount we had actually used from the 82 Euros "deposit" we had paid for the fuel. Unfortunately, this was not the case and we were charged the full 82 euro for the fraction of the tank of fuel we had used (estimated 20 euro). I honestly can't see how this is legitimate and would like to highlight this very dubiuos practice to other people. BEWARE AURIGA CAR HIRE and EBOOKERS (who I booked the car through - for affiliating with companies who practice this!)

If you hire a car for more than 3 days, they made you pay for a full tank, even if you don't need it. I hired the car through Carhire3000 and this wasn't in the conditions when I booked it. I complained to both and they just sent me some conditions writen somewhere that I had never seen before. It's a rip off and I will never use Carhire3000 or AurigaCrown.

This is by far the worst car hire company I have dealt with, and I would urge everyone to avoid Auriga Crown at all costs. We booked through Holiday Autos but didn't know which local agent we were using till the booking was made. We had a number of problems with Auriga Crown from start to finish: - firstly, when we arrived at the Auriga Crown offices in downtown Seville to pick up the car we were given a Ford Focus which was not only in poor condition but was not roadworthy. Its rear bumper was hanging off, it had scratches across much of its bodywork, its aerial was missing and one of the main headlights did not work at all, making it illegal to be on the road. We took pictures of all this on our phone and returned to the offices. When we told the person who had given us the car that we were not happy she looked mystified, though she must have known that the car was in such bad condition. She did however immediately offer us an alternative car. This was a Seat Leon and was better than the original Focus, so we accepted it, but it had a very high mileage (around 115,000km) and was still not in great shape (scratches etc). - whilst using the car during our holiday it was generally fine, but it did not feel in great condition (rattling engine, other interior rattles and the clutch seemed well worn - it could start from a standstill in 3rd gear). - when we returned the car to Malaga Airport there were no signs telling us where to drop off Auriga Crown cars. This was in the main multistorey car park where all rental cars are returned at the airport. The instructions in our booking details told us to park in an Auriga Crown space to return the car. We therefore parked in the first space we saw with an Auriga Crown sign above it. When we got out we could see no office to drop off the keys and we spent the next three quarters of an hour trying to locate the office. there were no signs anywhere or any staff telling us where to go. Eventually out of desperation (we were worried we might miss our flight) we walked round the whole car park and found the drop-off office on the lowest floor - there were no signs telling us that's where we should have gone. It turned out the original space we had parked in was for customers picking up cars, not dropping off but there should have been signs telling customers this was the case as it was very confusing. - finally, one other gripe was the policy of having to pick up the car with a full tank but having to return it empty. On picking up the car you pay extra for the full tank of fuel - in our case over €80(this is not made clear at the time of booking). As it turned out, the tank was very nearly empty when we returned the car, but this was more coincidence than planned. It seems to me this policy is a cynical money-making attempt by Auriga Crown, as most people will find it very difficult to make sure they return the car empty, so the hire company will make money on fuel for most cars on top of the rental fees, as they will not have to fill up a full tank for the next user but will charge them for a full tank.

There are far superior companies to deal with than this at Murcia airport, keep clear at all costs !!!

The price became 2 times the price in the adverteising. Full insurance is by Auriga not full insurance - it dosent cover glass, mirrors, tires and buttom of the car. Auriga do not accept that you leve the car with full tank - they will fill the tank and charge you for a full tank - dosent mather how much gasolin is left in the car by the end of time of rental. The car was damaged and not safe to drive. An atemt to call the company did not work - no ansewer

Arrived at Malaga airport at 1030pm on Sunday October 2. Booked my car through Argus Car Hire. It was an unusual booking as they only took a deposit, in the past I usually have paid for the rental up front in the UK. On arrival at the Auriga Crown desk was met by miserable sullen male Auriga Crown (possibly German) representative. He took my credit card to pay for the car only to have it declined. Unfortunately the card had expired 2 day earlier. I offered cash and a debit card as means of payment but he refused all of that. He just told me to phone my bank (at 11pm on a Sunday night??). Extremely rude and miserable. So that left us in Spain 11pm at night, 20 miles from the resort with no car, just missed the last train, and left with having to get a cab that cost almost as much as a weeks car hire. And then , having paid out all that money for 1 cab, it left us short so all our plans to travel around that week were ruined. Appalling service. Conclusions: check your credit card, book the car in full in advance, and don’t use Auriga Crown.

Aurigacrown at Alicante airport gave us quite the worst rental experience we have ever had. The first car was in such obviously appalling condition - with its rear window obscured by what looked like dried adhesive - that we rejected it out of hand. They offered an alternative which, although dirty, we took - rather than waiting what they said would be another twenty minutes for it to be cleaned (after all there's a limit to the time you want to spend in a multi-storey carpark at the start of your holiday). They helped themselves to a large deposit from our credit card which they said would be refunded if we returned the car with a full fuel tank. They also persuaded us to give them a further 30 euros for additional insurance, claiming that there was a lot of vandalism in the area for which the insurance supplement we had already paid in the UK would not cover us. We paid up although we were unconvinced. The car turned out to be not just dirty but dangerous. The handbrake was so feeble that it would not hold the car on any slight hill. We quickly learnt that we always had to leave it in gear when parked. It was impossible to get the rear windscreen clean as its wiper blade seemed to be worn out. We returned the car with full fuel but they refused to look at the gauge to confirm this and were completely uninterested in the condition of the car (even though we parked it right outside their office ... ten seconds walk away). When we said that if we waited any longer we were in danger of missing our plane they made it clear that they could not have cared less. We had had a lovely holiday in the Alicante/Valencia region - delightful weather, scenery, food and people - our Aurigacrown experience being the only fly in the ointment. And what an ugly great brute of a fly! We would never hire a car from this company again.

There is nothing to like about this company, old battered car. I had to pay 300 Euros deposit because I would not take out the extra optional insurance to cover mirrors and tyres. Other carhire companies usually only take a record of your credit card incase you do actually damage the car, but Auriga actually charge your card, and when they refund the 300 Euros back to your credit card you actually loose about £20, so there must be some more small print somewhere that you pay a fee for using the credit card. Staff are very rude and unhelpful, queues are massive because everyone is complaining about the extra costs they are being asked to pay. I would recommend once you have booked a car online and know which carhire company you have been allocated, read customer reviews and if you are allocated a poor company like Auriga, look at the smallprint in the email you are sent for a request to change carhire company.

After a long trip from USA, I had to wait 3 hours to get the car. Once I took it, it had a problem with the hand break, and they told me that it could not be exchanged! Incredible! If you want to start in a good way your holidays, please, do not use this company.

There is nothing to like about this company. Bring my first visit to Malaga, finding the company with directions from google and locals wasn't to hard... But when I found the company that's when my problems started!! I have a 8 month old, and had reserved a sat nav and baby seat long with the low group 207 car. When I sat down and before I even started the process I asked if I could see the baby seat.. Baby seat he asked?? I was told even tho I have reserved these 2 products it was in a first come first serve basis. When I refused to go on till he had checked, he reluctantly went to come back and say I was "lucky" as they were the last ones. Fir the sat nav.. They charged 8€ per day, with a €150 deposit.. As they take only credit card you will get less back abd more charges. They make you pay for a full tank and dint reimburse after 3 days of rental. Once were were through all these extra charges I went to get the car.. No one came to check it before I took it.. I found an X reg ford focus estate, no hubcaps, a real wreck.. After much arguing I was given an expert.. A very wide family car.. Much to big for roads in cordoba. This is not a hate review, just hope it comes to good use to someone as the best way abd cheapest is book when you get there!
