And finally we got the rental car...

Our plane had 1.5 hours of delay. We arrived at around 20.30h at the Airport of Palma. After the baggate claim we arrived at about 21.00h at the car rental of GOLDCAR. Everything was fine with the booking and the voucher, but for the payment with my MASTERCARD I had a serious Problem with the staff of Goldcar. The Credit Card Devise did't accept my PIN Code and announced to block my credit Card after the 3rd try. Therefore, I called the 24h Mastercard Service in Switzerland to explain the Problem. The guy on the Mastercard-Service-Line told me, that GOLDCAR should debit my credit Card manually, but the GOLDCAR-guy did not want to do so. So I asked him if there would be any alternatives. The GOLDCAR-guy told me, that I could also use my EC-Card but then I the additional insurance of around EUR 150 must be paid. I did not want to pay this additional insurance, therefore I did, what the Mastercard-Service-guy recommended me and continued the process until my Card was blocked. Then suddenly, the Credit Card Device asked for my personal signature and finally, it worked. The GOLDCAR Guy was very unfriedly and behaved as if he never heard about that. Finally we got the car, but this extra mile / extra procedure took us another 45min! Would't have been a Problem for a single Person, but my whole Family with 3 Kids hat to wait and all of them were hungry and tired!
