Fox rentals Orlando

I used Atlas as they had competitive rental fee on a comparison website. I had booked a Grand Cherokee or similar for 3 weeks and was looking forward to the experience of driving in the USA with a larger SUV. From this point it went downhill. First of all I wanted to pick the car up from the airport and go on my merry way but the car rental voucher was for Fox car rentals and they are not based within the airport so my family and I had to get the Fox bus to the car rental location within the airport which is not easy to find. Now after a 8 and half hour flight this is not ideal. Once at Fox they informed me they did not stock Grand Cherokee and offered me a Kia or a Nissan both small SUV's. I complained and was told I could get a bigger SUV if I paid $15 per day! Outrageous I thought and asked to see the manager who eventually offered me a Dodge Grand Caravan. Which at best is a mini bus. I was bitterly disappointed but no effort was made to improve my unhappiness. I accepted the Caravan as the other cars were to small for my family. A really poor start to our holiday and a poor quality of driving experience for the full 3 weeks I was in Orlando. When I returned the Caravan after 3 weeks the same level of unprofessional customer service was again on show when they tried to charge me again for the car rental. Luckily they one employee who had the intelligence to sort the situation out but unfortunately not before I was stressed and my wife was in tears. If I was offered Fox car rentals again I would cancel my booking but a company such as Atlas should never be in cohorts with such a unprofessional company as it tarnishes their reputation.
