Slightly confusing setup

I fired a car from Tenerife South airport, the car rental instructions weren't the clearest, you had to go to the taxi pick up area to find a guy with a clip board, her then drove you to the car rental place-about a 10 minute drive, and he stopped on the way tonfillbhis mini bus up with petrol... Then at the pick up place they seemed quite disorganised in terms of filling in paper work, the car I'd hired was out getting filled with petrol so that's why they were stalling me.

The car itself ran fine and I got a much better car then I'd ordered, but it was way over due a service and all the service lights were on all the time. The remote to lock the car also needed new batteries and was a bit hit and miss with working.

I had to pay €60 on collection for a full tank of petrol-despite the car not having a tank big enough for that much petrol and me not needing that much petrol, so I was a bit miffed with that extra unnecessary expense.

I'm used to collecting cars from the airport and being given the car with a full tank of petrol and being expected to refill what I used and return the car full.

It was all slightly confusing.
