Your agent in Pisa, Goldcar, wouldn't release the car to us unless we paid an additional 25 euros a day (approx) for their insurance. We explained that we had already paid you for excess cover but they insisted on a further payment as that wasn't how it worked in Italy. They also left us to find the car at midnight in an unlit parking area where all the cars were squeezed in making it difficult to get a car you weren't used to out. When we saw the car in daylight there was damage to it that hadn't been pointed out to us. They also changed the fuel policy to the one we had been informed of by you; we now had to pay for the full tank of fuel on pick up and then return it full for a credit. Despite doing that they still returned to us over 20 euros less that we paid for the tank of fuel on pick up. The staff at the desk were surly, unhelpful, and not interested in listening. There was another English couple collecting at the same time and having the same issues with a different member of the agents staff, so this was not an isolated case
This is the worst car hire I have ever had.
