car hire in Cyprus

price of hire was very reasonable,unfortunately customer support when I needed it when on holiday was non existent.I sent 4 e-mails in the space of 6 days and all I got back was an acknowledgement and no reply to my actual e-mail.This is totally unacceptable and I am still waiting for an explanation of why this was allowed to happen.As for the actual car hire experience in Cyprus anybody booking a hire car from you in Paphos and being given Thrifty or Dollar as the supplier should be made aware that the depot is a good ten minutes drive from the airport and if the minibus to take you to the depot has more than 8 people to carry then the remainder of your party will be left behind at the airport until such time as the hire cars are signed up for and then driven back to the airport to pick them up,about 50 mins in our case,this a particular concern when returning the cars as you have to factor extra time in to your journey back to the airport to account for this.Finally the 2 cars I hired were the worst I have ever hired,over 40,000kms on the clock and with no guts in them ,especially when driving uphill.
