We rented a compact for a week in Ibiza. The car was fine, the rate was good, and they didn't try to rip us off on petrol (leave full-return full. Lots of places have leave empty-return empty which strikes me as a rip-off.)

The only problem was that the hire company was off-airport (hence the low rate), and the minibus shuttle could only fit 6 people - which was bad news for the 20 or so people who were waiting in the heat of an Ibiza afternoon. We managed to get on the first run, but some of them must have had to wait half an hour at least to pick up their car.

So as long as you don't mind a bit of inconvenience, this is a great choice. If you want to walk out of the terminal and straight into your car, then stick with the majors and book direct
