We used this rental company to rent a car in Maui Hawaii. Our credit card was charged for something called Drive easy excess in the amount of $312.58, which was described as a deposit on the rental car itself. When we got to our destination to rent the car we came to find out that this charge was not part of the car rental, but some type of insurance. We did not ask for any insurance coverage and insurance from the rental car company was declined. We contacted our credit card immediately about this charge who in turn contacted airport rentals. A customer representative contacted us and we explained the situation that we thought the charge was for the amount of the rental car not some extra insurance. We were told that we would get a refund, the charge is still on our credit card and now we are being told that since the car was rented that we used the service??? What service Airport Rentals??? I recommend renting directly from the rental car agency as apposed to dealing with a third party!! Do not recommend at all!!! Plus there is no actual address or person that you can directly contact when you have a problem!!!! Very disappointed and angry!!

The confirmations sent out do show whether the charge is a deposit or any incidentals like the Drive Easy policy.
Our main office is in New Zealand although we do have and an office in both the UK and China.
