This is a great site for booking car hire but the companies have different policies. Budget have a nasty policy of giving you a car with a full tank. You then have to return the tank empty or lose the value of the petrol. My car hire for four days was £70. The petrol was £77 and the tank was half full on return. So they have gained £35 worth of free petrol and I have lost £35.

So in reality the cost of using Budget was £70 plus £37.50 totalling £107.50

The worst thing was I collected from an Avis site as Budget had no office in the town. The Avis lady told me that they 9Avis) don't make this charge and agreed that it's a hidden charge con.
