121 car hire is an easy to use site, everything you need to know about how it works is at the foot of the page. The best part is of course the price, and the fact that there are no hidden extras. On comparison websites 121 doesn't come up as the cheapest because the other sites don't display the full price straight off. This defeats the point of the comparison website as you have to go to each site to check the price and unless you read the small print could end up paying extra on collection.

After getting quite frustrated with other websites, I called the 121 helpline to double check I hadn't missed something on pricing on the website. The telephone service was helpful and confirmed my understanding of the website; it would have been nice if the call were a charged at a local rate. I am pleased the site clearly states the cost of the call at the top of the page so you are aware of the call cost in advance though.

I had no difficulty collecting the car at Alamo. It had a button handbreak and the guy at the Stockport office ensured I understood how to use it in place of the stick handbreak. No trouble dropping it off either. It was a good drive, and a clean car.
