“First rate experience”

We have rented cars in the USA from this company on two different occasions and found them to be excellent. The standard car hire agencies (Budget, Avis, Dollar, etc, etc) always hit you with add-on insurances (which are very necessary in the USA). These required extras usually about double the base cost of the car rental. This company has all the necessary insurances build into its base rate which then turns out to be not much different from the base cost charged by the standard car... (read more)

To make a long and very complicated story short, we were unable to pick up our prepaid rental car which we booked at Dollar through AMERICACARRENTAL.COM within the 24 hours after planned pick-up due to several difficulties that were beyond our control. When we finally arrived at Dollar (48 hours after planned pick-up time) the car rental company wouldn't accept the voucher anymore because it expired and offered us a new deal (which was $1280 instead of the $680 we paid to...
