Not having a credit card has always been a disadvantage when trying to hire a car in the UK or Abroad. I contacted the site and had a chat online, got a speedy email with details that helped me choose. Even changing airports wasn't a problem so I was happy to book. The guy on the phone was helpful friendly and I could ask for more. (just hope I can say the same when I pick up the car in July!) I seldom use credit cards now and alwasy pay by debit card, therefore this was a brilliant solution. Booking with Indigo was dead easy on the phone, I wanted a hire car company that would be efficient and also accept my debit card for the booking and also overseas when I collected the car. Far too many companies in Europe rely on a credit card, this practice I think is dated and not in favour of the customer. I have just booked with Indigo and the agent, who handled the call was very helpful and proficient. The process was easy and he explained the whole process for making the arrangements in Barcelona. Finding a service that can operate with just debit cards is very useful but does mean having to pay for additional insurance in Spain. (read more)

Would like to say as a customer who does not own and does not want to own a credit card, I found Indigo very obliging in this field... My only problem is with Geneva airport/Avis car hire... Indigo car hire also sent me a skype link so we could speak for free, a great boon as I was in Spain at the time. Other companies will quote for one way hire and tell you there may be an additional cost for one way however they do not tell you the full price including this until later.
