Like other reviews they charge you extra on arrival. For us, nearly double the online booking. Over Christmas period there was a lack of other options. Would avoid at all cost.

We took a weeks car rental and agreed the contract sent through by this company. This contract included a full to full policy and no extra local charges when collecting the vehicle. When we collected the vehicle (from Firefly) we were forced to pay an extra £28 or decline the car rental. We were told by Firefly to take this up with Car Target Group/Vehicle Rent.com as the error was on their part. After multiple emails to Car Target Group/Vehicle Rent.com, across many months (Sept - Feb), they are still not even understanding what our complaint is, let alone resolving it for us. We will never use this company again, and would suggest to anyone on a tight budget that they avoid them.

We were forced into paying for full excess reduction. The associates would not give us the car without it despite that our booking confirmation was with 250£ excess. The booking therefore cost far more than the booking confirmation stated.

I have rented a Nissan Patrol from Enterprise through this broker. Checked through email with them to see what other car is considered “similar” to this one as I understand that a rental company can’t always provide the specific car booked, but a similar one. When I arrived at the destination, I have been told that the car booked is not available and was never available. Surprisingly, there were other customers that booked the Nissan Patrol because it was in Vehicle Rent’s offer, although it was never available at the location. I have been given a Ford Kuga, which in the company’s opinion is a “full-size SUV”. Actually, at present, on their web site there is no classification for SUVs, so if you would rent a Mercedes or an Audi Q7 you have got all the chances to get a “full-size SUV” Dacia Duster because it “had a automatic transmission with 4-5 doors and 5 seats as you booked in” (this is a quote from the response email from them, including the grammar errors). Not happy with that and will avoid this company in the future as they are not honest because they falsely advertised cars that never existed at the location just to charge extra amounts for much smaller cars.

Avoid this company, their super excess insurance . They dont respont to emails. They dont refund payments. They say they habe no bookings with them. AVOID...

In June I rented a car for a week in Croatia with full excess cover through Vehicle-rent.com aka Car Target Group d.o.o Travel agency in Ljubljana. Unfortunately, I had a small accident and they kept my deposit of Eur 750 and told me that I should be able to claim it back in UK. I submitted all the paperwork and I have received the claim approval email in July. I have waited 120 days and after not having any further communication from the claims team I have emailed them asking about progress but again with no reply whatsoever. I contacted customer support of Vehicle-rent who promised to take it up with the accounts team but again with no success. During last month I sent several emails and called customer service number who advised me that my payment is with accounts department and will be dealt shortly but again I had no answer whatsoever. I became suspicious and started to check on various internet forums for reviews of the company and realised that there are lots of people who have the same issues with the company- everything is fine until you have a claim - and although you have paid to indemnify the excess the company is not refunding money to anybody. I discovered that the company does not have any presence in U.K. They are formed by a few ex Sixth employees in Slovenia in 2011 and the company acts as a virtual broker. The business model that they use is - the excess that they sell and collect the money for is not going through proper insurance company but they keep all the money and in event of claim they don’t want to pay out. The company is not member European Car Rental Conciliation Service reconciliation service so after numerous calls and exchange of emails I am in process of asking for legal help.

If you have a crush or even a minimal scratch you will see what they offer. This is: terrible sercive, and a ilimited number of calls and emails. With luck you will get sorted in 5 months.

Sorry to spoil, but they are terrible. I purchased a full insurance, due to a scratch I had to pay 150 euro that more then 3 months of claim, I didn't get them back. Later on I read that this happen to a lot of other people.

Despite the confusion over the pick up point - ours was actually outside past the short stay car park - we were not collected inside the arrival area as per our booking information, we thought that the whole process was fine. A nice clear website, clear pricing and good communication (apart from above) Actually being collected at the airport and taken to our car pick up point just outside Inverness was ideal - as it cut a few miles off our journey and the country roads may have been difficult to negotiate in the dark as we had never visited before I would definitely use Vehicle Rent again

Used Vehicle Rent a few times now, not only are they prices very well, the service and support has always been excellent.

This is the second year that I have used this company for my hire car from Athens airport and will most probably be the one for next year too. Even the details of how to find their shuttle bus after leaving the terminal on arrival have been improved and now leaves no doubt as to where they are to be found. The car was faultless and performed without missing a beast for the whole trip. The only thing that I noticed was that one of the headlamps had failed but this can happen at any time and as I had not checked this particular function at the outset I cannot say whether the car had the problem before I picked it up or whether it happened subsequently. However it was not of any great importance as I did very little night driving and even then only affected main beam on one side. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone needing a car at Athens airport. It is 10mins drive off the main airport but on the main Athens- Sunio highway so dead easy to find on the return! I carry my own insurance for the excess charges but was never pushed at all to accept their own insurance. Also the excess charge that was reserved on my card whilst the hire was active was returned immediately on the return of the car in good condition. A refreshing change from some hires who take forever and even then have to be chased. Their prices are I find quite competitive. Keep up the good work Auto Union and I hope to see you again in a year's time!

We have rented cars in many countries around the world for many years. This is the second time with Flizzr and both times have been hassle free. Good vehicles... the vehicles we actually booked (some companies have tried to fob us off with different vehicles!). In Ljubljana the hire company was easy to find and the service was fantastic. The representative who we dealt with was very friendly, helpful and honest regarding our insurance (we pre-purchased comprehensive from another company), and didn’t try to ‘Upsell’ with their insurance we didn’t need (some other companies have tried this!). The vehicle was new and clean. Returning the vehicle was also hassle free and quick. A very good all round experience. Based on our experiences to date, would definitely use them again and would hesitate recommend them. 5 star service!

Collection by minibus from the airport went smoothly, three minute drive to the office, easy process to check my driver's licence, pay the balance of the hire charge, walk round the car agreed existing damage (minor scratches). Full petrol tank. Return was very easy, there is a petrol station just round the corner to refill the tank. Very smooth throughout. I would use the same again.

Easy to book, got what I expected though, perhaps unusually, i didn’t want the upgrade to a larger car but had no choice. Pointed out that fuel was less than the level on the paperwork and the agent immediately changed it. Pick up and drop off were straightforward and pretty quick. Overall a good experience

When I hired a car with vehiclerent I took out their relax insurance package in case any damaged was charged to me. The rental booking and collection process was fine. When I returned my vehicle I was charged for the damage by the car company, however I claimed on the insurance as I was covered. My claim was approved and I was told it could take 90 days to get the money back (which is an unnecessary amount of time to begin with). 90 days has passed and I am no nearer to getting the refund back. When I contact them all I get is a generic apology saying that the claims dept is working to issue my refund. I've now submitted a formal complaint (no response 4 days later even though an customer service agent says my email has been picked up by their claims dept). I have also begun legal action. Book a vehicle with them, but do NOT get their insurance. It's also very strange as when you usually take out insurance you get a policy document detailing specific terms and conditions, as well as the underwriters of the risk. However I never received one and when I asked for one all they provided was some T&Cs on their website. Very suspicious.

Driving a hybrid for first time was a great opportunity.The check in process was quick and efficient as I was a returning customers despite Venice being busy.Staff member on duty was friendly and helpful.
