BIG, BIG, BIG WARNING FOR THIS COMPANY!!!

I don't know where to start. I have now blocked my credit card.

1) The insurance of €140 payed to rentalcars.com was worth nothing according to Locauto. Instead they wanted us to pay an extra insurance of €530 for a car costing €450. When we didn't they reserved €2000 on my credit card + €100 for the fuel.

2) At the return of the car they inspected it as if they were going to buy it. Of course they found a small scratch underneath the front spoiler (which was already damaged in several other positions) and claimed that this was going to cost us €300. First they tried to scam us with a damage that we fortunately could proof that it existed when we picked up the car. Needless to say they weren't too busy documenting the existing damages before the rental period. We noted two big damages that weren't reported in their damage protocol, meaning that we witnessed either a small miracle or an intended fraud considering the energy with which they documented damages at the return of the car.

3) We booked two child seats. They wanted €63 (sic!) per seat for the period. Instead we stopped at the nearest mall and bought two seats for €15 each.

4) The staff was extremely rude when we protested against all their scams. I guess only persons with antisocial personality disorder can stand working with all the disappointed customers at Locauto.

I will now contact rentalcars.com to inform them that I will not use their services as long as they include companies like this in their searches. I will also contact Locauto and inform them that I will involve the police if they act any further in this case. At least they have no access to my money.

For your own sake, use well renowned companies like Avis and Hertz instead or prepare for repeated periods of high pulse and blood pressure when dealing with Locauto
