What a Rip Off!

I went to this company today to look at a car I had seen online. As soon as I saw the car it had a different price on the front than was advertised on the internet. When I queried this I was told that the price quoted on the internet was their best price as they don't negotiate.

I advised them I had a car to trade in and they told me that if I was trading in then I had to pay for a £400 package which would include an MOT and 2 year warranty. I advised them the car I was looking at still had 2 years manufacturer warranty but I was told I still had to buy the package. I was also told that there was an additional £100 administration charge to add onto the cost.

When I asked how long the MOT was on the car I was interested in, they told me that it didn't have one and they would not put one on it as they sell cars as they stand and they told me they operate as though you are buying from a private seller - although I wasn't advised there was no MOT before I test drove it. They told me I would have to buy the car and drive it straight to an MOT Centre otherwise I would be breaking the law. When they looked at my car, as it had a short MOT, I was advised that I would have to get it MOT'd before they would consider a trade in, if I didn't do this I was told they would knock £500 off the price they would offer for my car.

When I asked about how to pay I was told I had to pay £300 cash deposit and the balance by bankers draft as they don't accept cards!!! This rang alarm bells. When I asked what they would do if I paid for the car with no finance or trade in I was told they would sell the car as it stood and would still charge me a £100 administration fee. Needless to say I didn't buy the car and will never go back there again. All I can advise potential customers is "Beware"!!!!!
