Having gone through the personal importation procedure some 10 years ago when we imported a new LHD Land Rover Discovery from The Netherlands, we were only too aware of what is involved in securing a LHD car with UK plates. And didn't want to repeat it; this time someone else was going to get our car for us! We discovered LHD Supermarket on the Internet and, amongst the many cars on their web site, we found an almost new BMW X3 which fitted the bill perfectly for us in terms of price, colour and specification. Having contacted Gavin of LHD Supermarket, who offered us a generous trade-in allowance on our Italian registered Fiat Panda, our BMW was ordered. And within four weeks our car was delivered to Nottingham from Germany and registered with DVLA. Despite it being 8 months old with 12,000 km it was in show room condition when we picked it up and really had that 'new car' feel. The whole process had gone very smoothly from start to finish and we drove away with smiles on our faces. Well done LHD Supermarket and well done Gavin Stafford.

After searching fruitlessly for a 5 series 4x4 touring Bmw I was presented with a large selection. Found the pefect one and within no time it was delivered to my house in France. We puchased a Merc 200 SLK Kompressor two and a half years ago all transactions as per book.Condition superb,supplied via Germany to the UK then driven over to France for us a very pleasant and helpfull experiance for all concerned.Now thinking about an Aston Martin DB9 wherefrom yes LHD of course.

As many other satisfied customers have mentioned in their reviews, I was another one who was quite reluctant to part with my money without seeing the car. But true to their word, LHD Supermarket delivered and delivered well on the Audi A3 I had bought from them. The major disappointment / surprise was the tax bill I received from the Spanish government (just over 800 euros) when I wanted to register the car in Spain. Apparently you need to own the car for at least 6 months to be exempt from the tax. The biggest concern was that the car ended up being uninsured for over three months because I was caught in an "insurance limbo". UK insurance companies would not insure me because I was no longer a UK resident (fair enough!!). Spanish insurance companies would not insure because I had UK plates!! In the end everything was sorted out and I am happy with the car but I do believe that the staff at LHD Supermarket should be able to inform potential customers of the potential pitfalls one can come across concerning the registration of vehicles in Europe. I do not expect them to be experts but it is assumed that most customers are going to buy a left-hand drive car to use in mainland Europe and they are dealing with suppliers from all over Europe.

I found it very difficult to get a decent deal on an Audi Q5 in France. However lhdcarsupermarket sourced exactly the right vehicle/spec at a very competitive price, much better value than local dealers. Not only that they offered me a great part exchange deal on my existing lhd French registered Audi.The vehicle was exactly as described on the website. Everything went to plan, including delivery. Overall the whole customer 'experience' was amazing and I would recommend this service to anybody contemplating buying a LHD vehicle. I will certainly be using lhdcarsupermarket again in the future.

It’s not often everything just works out right: but it did with our experience of LHDsupermarket.com. The people there kept gently in touch over six months till I was ready to buy. And then they searched on our behalf until we had the car we wanted at a great price with all the information we needed, answering every one of my questions. Buying a car from a local dealer could easily be problematic but buying a car from a company other side of the world is not just scary but I was told it is madness! We initiated the purchase from Spain for a lhd Mazda MX-5 Automatic which is rare! This was my first car purchase experience with LHD Car Supermarket and from the time I contacted Gavin and the time I received the car was just a breeze! The process was easy with Prompt and excellent communications all the way We did make use of Escrow account to be sure that the car was not stolen or to be to our specifications. Just one thing that one should bear in mind is that the exchange rate even though Gavin did offer us to exchange the second payment of 80% through his HSBC bank which it would have been a better rate and cheaper but this did not make sense to us since we already agreed to go through the Escrow account! We purchased a third car from LHD and the service was yet again excellent. Not only professional and courteous but thorough including the delivery when a considerable time was spent ensuring we knew all the features of the lovely top range Galaxy brought in from Germany. I wanted a left hand drive car even though I live in England as we have a house in France and I feel safer on the lanes and roundabouts. We did a lot of research on the car we wanted before buying it and Gavin found exactly the model we wanted and we didn't even know it existed! In the UK the Mitsubishi ASX doesn't come with a sun roof, which was on my tick list of ideal extras. I was nervous about forwarding the money without any previous experience of LHD Car Supermarket, and I read another review with similar concerns, but it all went smoothly and Gavin is completely honest.
