have had plenty of views, 4 companies asking what price i'm looking for, or they can take the hassle of selling giving fair trade price less collection, less perpetration... no offers what so ever just generic emails from the same 4 companies every 4 weeks or so. Don't even bother asking customer support for changes or anything no one is ever there to answer the phones, when you submit changes by emails , what a surprise nothing happens. spend a bit more time looking for other ways of selling, unless your prepared to do all the chasing

Just sold our car to motor market through the dealerbid website after just a week of listing it on the website. We had a kid of interest in the car the same day it was listed but motor market offered a much better price than anyone else and we're happy to come a pick the car up. It costl us £9 to advertise and after spending over £60 on Autotrader with zero response this is a superb price point. The phone application definitely makes communication easier but it would be nice to view previous messages without the dealer you're chatting with being on line. Other than that more than happy

Did my homework and visited a number of different websites for prices for my car and used the site to see if could find a better price. Started receiving enquiries within an hour all of which were companies I hadn't come across previously and would certainly had not found of my own accord. Most were around the same figures I had already found but all did make clear they are making firm offers not prices to change so I'm guessing all were probably better offers if you factor in the car sites I had previously researched were probably going to change their offer at the end of the day. Finally I agreed to a deal with Sellacar who offered £300 more than webuyanycar etc. Factoring in the fact that they did pay what was agreed and didn't reduce the initial offer, they collected my car from my home and there was no admin fee other than the £10 to list my car on the site I would hazard a guess I've probably gained £500ish . Sellacar were extremely proficient with everything from initial contact through to making sure payment was cleared in my account before collection. Would certainly recommend them. With regard to the site, some of the enquiries I missed as they ended up in my junk folder so some research my be required to make sure this is fixed other than that great concept.

I had tried selling my car privately on eBay with little success and had been messed about with a car buying company who after making their initial offer and confirming everything on the phone decided "due to market changes" they were going to change the price by the best part of £600 when they came to my house to collect the car, and if I didn't accept the new price they would charge me a fee if I later changed my mind! - I don't think so. I decided to give the dealerbid website a go as an alternative I route and was pleasantly surprised with the interest the car generated. I must admit I was expecting to simply compare prices but it's a little more involved in that nearly all the dealers that contacted me wanted further info about the car first. This Actually I didn't mind as I got to get a feel for who I was dealing with and decided to accept an offer from Cleverautomotive who offered more than anyone else and above all were polite and quick to sort everything out. They collected my car for free and not only did they offer more than the car buying company I had used they didn't then try to line their pockets by changing the price. Much cheaper than eBay, much quicker and relatively easy to use although some problems navigating the site and struggled to remove my listing after sold to leave feedback so had to contact support. This aside I would highly recommend, especially if you are being forced to accept a reduced price on collection day like I was. Don't let them mess you about because you can quite easily get more.

Would like to say a big thank you to your dealer bid buyers from Lincoln who have today collected my car and made everything really easy with the sale. Listed my car on Friday and had a few enquiries for more info, an idea on prices etc. Explained my situation and the guys were great, very understanding and advised best way to deal with my circumstances (had private plate which wanted to keep still). Didn't get as much as I would have liked selling privately but just didn't have the time as moving to France but a better price than the usual sites online, nice people, quick sale, quick collection and certainly wouldn't have found mpn cars without using your site so very worthwhile. Nice one.

Probably should have listened to some of the other reviews on more trustworthy websites but I thought I'd give dealer-bid a chance. My advice is save your money. It's not a scam, but it just isn't worth it. Dealer-bid's proposition is that they have the end dealers on their site, looking at your car with a view to retail it to the public. Logically, such a dealer will pay more than WBAC as WBAC (and all other car buying sites) are middlemen - they buy from you and sell to these same dealers. I signed up yesterday and have had nothing but offers from other car buying companies that can't even compete with WBAC and other big car buyers on line. None of them were the end dealers that would sell my car - just more middlemen. As soon as your ad goes live, you will get a number of 'enquiries' but these are not enquiries at all, they are auto-response messages from companies that have set up alerts on dealer-bid. The auto-response will usually ask what your lowest price is. If you respond with a price that is higher than WBAC you will get replies telling you "that's too much, no dealer will pay that". When you tell them that you have been offered only slightly less by WBAC or similar, they will tell you: "WBAC will knock you down as soon as you get there so their quotes are worthless. Our price is less than their quote but more than they'll actually give you". Most just won't reply at all proving that the initial auto-responses you got mean nothing as they are not interested at all. I assume the whole auto-response thing is part of the lure to get people to pay the £10 fee, because you can advertise without paying the fee and then get an email saying 'you have 6 enquiries already'. You then get the chance to pay the £10 to see the enquiries. My problem isn't with the buyers that offer bottom dollar for the car - that's what you expect from the industry - it's with dealer-bid promoting themselves as an alternative to the normal industry tactics by (as they say) putting you in touch with the end dealers who will pay more than WBAC, when in reality, you have paid £10 to have 10 more WBAC wannabe's trying to offer you less than WBAC and the other big car buyers. Their 'buyers' all seem to have standard car buying sites and can be found easily via google. If I wanted to accept the WBAC type price, I didn't need to pay £10 to do it.

Having struggled to navigate the website and to actually submit the advert I had a couple of responses from companies that asked me what price I was looking for rather than making any offers and none of them got back to me after I explained to them how the website was meant to work. I had a bout 40 clicks on an ad with plenty of photos and after a week without a single offer I decided to put the car an Autotrader where it had >1000 clicks within a week, plenty of interest and a happy buyer who paid the asking price without any haggling. I don't know how many genuine dealers they actually have on there list, what the success rate for sales is and whether some cars do better than others. I can't recommend it at all.

Simply put this has worked a treat! Gained nearly £1,000 for my Audi A7, and am very pleased. I'm not an expert when it comes to cars, but I've had a few and I've found selling them hard work an expensive until using the dealerbid site. A slight misunderstanding about why the price could change If I waited until the last week of August but quickly and totally satisfactorily dealt with. Much easier than waiting for a private buyer and better prices than the car buying sites online.

Having just sold our car to a dealer through the site for the first time I have been impressed with how quickly everything was dealt with and how nice the communication with our buyer was as well as the obvious being price. However this could have been made a lot easier if the site was easier to use. It is very hard to use on a tablet and I had to manually resize my car images to get them to upload. An A for the selling experience and a C for ease of use.

I have just sold my Audi TT through the site to motormarket who have been great to deal with. Had a number of queries regarding the specification which were quickly confirmed and motormarket were offering somewhat more than other dealers. Agreed a final price and the car was collected two days later from work. Paperwork etc took 20 mins and the money for the car was paid directly into my account. Certainly gained a few hundred pounds using the site compared to usual sites but it is quite a tricky site to use on a tablet as for some reason the pages weren't loading correctly but on laptop seemed to work fine.

Took my Tenner, got one email asking when my car was last serviced then nothing. Think I'll start up the same sort of business, easy money no effort. Won't be recommending anytime soon.

Have to say that this has been one of the best investments I have made after spending quite a bit of money in the past on advertising cars. The site is not exactly easy to negotiate, especially for someone with minimal computer knowledge but managed to complete my advert with a couple of photos without too much trouble. Within a few hours I started to receive enquiries on my car (a Nissan Juke) and decided to take up an offer from cars about a few days later. This is where I might have been a little hasty as a couple of days later I had another offer which I didn't notice had gone into my junk mail account as it was sent from the actual motor dealer and not through the site. This was a bit annoying as it was for a few hundred pounds more but we had already arranged for the car to be collected. Car was collected as promised, the driver spoke to the office and payment was made by bankers transfer whilst we had a coffee. Much easier than expected.

Never used the site before or this method of selling any car so wasnt too sure what to expect, however everything has been quick and very easy. The prices were all around the same figure with Stuarts offer the best of the bunch. He has been a complete pleasure to deal with, explained the payment and collection process and arranged for our car to be collected two days later. They were on time, the paperwork was done in a few minutes and payment in our account confirmed by my boss (the wife). Joe and Sarah

Some interesting comparisons on price with some dealers clearly trying it on with others being realistic and around the same sort of figures. Agreed a sale with motor market who have been great. The adviser kept us informed on everything we needed to do and arranged collection of our car on my day off. The driver was a lovely gentleman who quickly looked around the car and helped us with the paperwork. He even popped back ten minutes after leaving with my wifes cd she had left in the stereo. My only criticism would be that some of the enquiries came directly from motor dealers own email addresses and not via the site and unfortunately some of these ended up in my spam folder so I didnt spot them until after we had agreed a sale. Luckily motormarket were still the best buyers but would have been a bit annoying if we had missed out on a better price because of this. A great system though and will certainly use again next time.

Absolutely useless.. Do not waste your £10 or time. No response at all, even after a few weeks. The outdated site layout is also a pain to use.

Had a lot of interest in our Discovery within an hour or so of listing the car with most of the dealers being around the same sort of figure for the car which was better than I had managed to find elsewhere. Hugh from Crosslands offered an extra £500 if the car was left with the tax on and could be collected by the end of the week. Car was collected within a couple of days and Hugh was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Polite, professional and didnt intimidate me in the slightest. It has been nice to deal with a company that obviously still has old fashioned values. Will recommend your site to my friends.

Quick and easy and managed to find us a buyer in Huntingdon who had a buyer lined up and paid more than anyone else. The person from Crosslands has been a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. It is nice to know that there are still some nice, old fashion values companies and people out there to deal with. Will definitely be visiting crosslands should we decide to buy another 4x4 in the future.

Just sold our car to TopCars in Hull via the dealerbid website and the whole process has been a breeze from begining to end. The car was listed on a Sunday and within a few hours I started to receive enquiries. Top cars made an offer which was the strongest price I could find online anywhere and better than all the other dealers offers on the site. They were quick to respond to my emails and made no attempt to change the price they offered for my car despite me missing a small scuff on one of the alloy wheels. One problem I did come across on the site is I accidently clicked a button which marked the vehicle as sold but a quick email quickly had the advert back live again. The whole process from listing the car to money in the bank took 5 days and we were five hundred pounds up on what we could find anywhere else online without having to advertise on autotrader etc. Would recommend if this is the way you are looking to sell and cannot recommend TopCars enough.

We have sold our car through the dealerbid website to first national car sales who have been brilliant to deal with. The car generated quite a bit of interest on the site but first national were very polite and offered the best price we could find anywhere. After confirming a few things about the condition and the service history the price was confirmed and stuck to. The car was collected within a few days with the funds sent directly into our account and they helped us complete the paperwork. Would use the site again and be in contact with firstnation when looking for our next second car.

A very good concept that I have never thought about using before. Similar to auctioning your car but no exact bidding process as such, rather car dealers and websites that buy cars simply make you an offer to buy and they also are expected to collect which makes things easier. Our outcome was an increase of £800 which is still somewhat below what I was hoping but was the highest figure I was offered and obviously £800 more than the usual car buying sites is not to be sniffed at. Site itself isnt the most easiest to navigate especially if using your phone but once you get over this hurlde its pretty much a case of sitting back and waiting for your offers to come in and answer any questions etc. Have bookmarked and will be using again so thumbs up from me.
