“Really made up with my new car”

You were very lucky

Chrome sold me a car that was junk. The cost of repairs will be greater than the value of the car. I rejected it within a couple of weeks of buying it. Chrome have been a disgrace. The worst garage I have ever dealt with. Arrogant and dismissive. Tomorrow I start court proceedings against them. Chrome are Rogue Traders. Do not deal with them.

Chrome Motors note the comment made by Adrianpen and wish to make the following response..
Adrianpen has been sold a vehicle by Chrome. He has reported that it was faulty and Chrome has recovered the vehicle from the customer to have it independently assessed regarding the faults alleged.
Once this has been done Chrome can then make an informed decision based on the independent inspection.
We look forward to sorting this matter to the satisfaction of the customer but there are procedures in place that have to be followed to protect all parties and to achieve a successful conclusion.

Unfortunately the 'experience' was shortlived and on drawing the MDs attention to faults that have arisen within thirty days of purchase......"but I must emphasise the vehicle in question is an 8 year old"
..........Pity he didn't point that out when it was 8 years and 1 month old!!

I was welcomed by friendly staff in a nice open showroom, no hard sell just a promise to find the right car that suited my needs. Chrome Motors has in stock at any one time in excess of 140 vehicles. Even so on occasion we do not have the exact car a customer wants. Chrome always go that "extra mile" when trying to find the right one and its great when the team achieve that, as in this case.

“Buyer beware”

Bought a car from this company in August 2015. Too many faults to list, back to chrome on many occasions,always excuses. Took them to court and obtained a judgement by default only after applying for a warrant did they finally pay up. I would never ever recommend anyone to buy their vehicle from here,obviously there are some good reviews but sadly my experience has put me off for life. “Car fault and still waiting for a reply”

My car ended up with a fault 5 days after i had bought it, i was told to get it checked out at a other garage which would cost me. the fault was a sensor and so the garage reset the sensor but sadly it came back on so i had to go back to the garage who said it needed replacing also when i took the car out for a test drive i noticed that the tyre was low and i said could they sort it out when i'd decided to buy it, which they did by putting air in it even thou they must of known that the tyre… Read Full Review

Chrome Motors note the contents of your review and wish to make the following comments.
It is correct that one of the tyres was low prior to test drive and the sales advisor did inflate it.
It was never agreed that it would be replaced. A reduction in the price of the car was given as goodwill as the customer was on a limited budget.
It is unfortunate that a fault developed on the vehicle after sale.
Chrome offer a basic complimentary Bronze warranty free of charge and more comprehensive warranties were offered but were declined by the customer.
The complimentary warranty did not cover the faulty item.
The customer actually called into our Macclesfield showroom on 13th July 2016 and discussed at length his issues with our manager. It was explained that in this case Chrome unfortunately couldn't assist.
Ultimately the car purchased was an 11 year old Hyundai Getz and subject to wear and tear consumate with the age of the vehicle.

Yes I paid screen price and your goodwill discount was £20. Thanks for that.
I still have rights regarding the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for used cars regardless of age or price.
After 5 days it shouldn't be costing me more money. Simple.

Chrome Motors note the contents of your review and wish to make the following response.
Chrome apologise for any inconvenience caused and understand your frustration It is correct that the vehicle wasn't available due to the fact that it was undergoing work when yourselves attended our showroom. Our advisor genuinely thought it was still on our forecourt.
The work on the vehicle took longer than anticipated with no definite date on availability and we advised that you also look elsewhere for other vehicles instead of just waiting for our vehicle.
It is correct that Chrome offer a refundable deposit scheme so that for a reasonable length of time we remove the vehicle from sale until the customer attends and views the car. This option was not taken up by the customer and was so still for sale to anyone which happened in the end.
Chrome pride ourselves on our customer service and lessons have been learnt from this situation so that it doesn't happen again.
Please accept our apologies.

went to see the car in chrome motors when checked had a few faults like rear wiper was not working and when put a/c on makes a very funny noise and very very bad smell comes out anyway told them they said get the estimate email us and we will sort it out no problem with this promise bought the car paid the full asking price took it to local garage and got the estimate and email them straight away that was in march and now it's June in between rung them at least 30 times and mail them aswell… Read Full Review

Throughout the purchasing experience all opportunities were given to assess/inspect the vehicle before it was purchased.
Chrome noted all items pointed out by the customer and rectified them.
At the point of sale the customer elected to take the free complimentary Bronze plus warranty, the limits of which were clearly outlined as were the benefits of taking more extensive warranties.
Only after a period after collection of the vehicle was a fault reported with the air conditioning system.
In this case the limited Bronze Plus warranty did not cover the fault reported.
It is unfortunate but on this occasion Chrome are unable to assist any further.
