Bought a 6 month old Focus for a good price with just 11,000 miles on clock. Generally very happy with whole process...however a big problem we have heard from others is that Car Shop envariably only sell the car with one key - which is no good if you and your other half want a copy of the key. key fobs are ridiculously expensive (£200) . My partner and I went to Car Shop Norwich to look for a replacement vehicle for him. The staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful and after a couple of test drives we found the perfect vehicle for him. In the meantime I saw a car I liked and under no pressure from the sales staff I too went for a test drive. Going into the car shop being a young female on her own with not much experience on cars is always a nervous experience but as soon as I walked in I was made 2 feel comfortable straight away by the man who greeted me. There was no pressure and you can take your time and ask as many questions (which I did) and there happy to answer! The team are soo friendly your made to feel part of the family. I had a good idea about the type of car I wanted but not the specific make model etc. The service I was given helped me to narrow the field. When I decided not to purchase the cars available on one particular day there was no pressure or expectation placed on me. My partner and I found exactly the car we were looking for on our second visit to the Car Shop Norwich. Were sold the car by a friendly young man who answered all our questions. We didn't feel pressured at all to buy. Then organised the finance plan with a specialised financial advisor, all went smoothly. We are sorry to hear that you have had a few issue with your vehicle a month after purchase and I can see that our Customer Service Department have assisted you with regards to the brakes. We understand your concern with the brakes and we are sorry that the main dealer gave you cause for concern and advise that you contact us directly within your guarantee period should you have any issues so we can assist you. I do believe we are waiting on the parcel shelf string for you and one of our Customer Experience Advisor's will be in touch when the part is in.
With regards to our hours. Our Customer Service Department operate within these hours so we can liaise with garages and parts departments the same day when arranging bookings. This helps so not to cause any further frustration out of hours as we cannot make any arrangements. Outside these hours our Customer Experience Department are here to continually assist any of our customers.

As a customer, I generally like to take my time to purchase and simply browse whats on offer first before I ask for assistance. However, on arrival at CarShop I was harrassed and badgered for my personal details, even after asking the assistant to leave me alone. We have a large site here in Norwich and not all our customers can or want to walk round looking, especially when everything is available to view on the computers at the desk first.
Regarding your last statement , I can assure you and any of our customers that all the personal data we collect from our customers is for our business purposes only. We do not sell information to any other companies whatsoever.

Obviously wrote this before the ink had dried on my contract! Shocking after sales service. They 'forgot' to mot my car so hence I couldn't tax it in the city! It was difficult to contact the store and rarely did customer services pick up or call back (even to the point of saying someone had!)
They really were not very helpful at all in terms of solving their mistake and helping out the customer.
Unimpressed and will never return. What has made it worse is that they did not once apologise for their mistake and the fact that I have had to chase them wasting countless hours and phone calls.
Give this place a wide birth!

Firstly, I would just like to say that we did not forget the MOT on your vehicle, it was unfortunately not done in time before your collection. We do not have on site facilities to carry and we rely on local garages to carry out our MOT'S. We do apologise for failing to inform you before collection that this was not done and Ideally rearrange your appointment.
I can see that an MOT was arranged for you the following day which due to the short notice the time was not convenient for you and the Customer Service Department arranged with the garage for you to have this done later that day.
We do hope that you are enjoying your new car and once again we apologise for any inconvenience that we have caused.

"The mot has seemed to be overlooked" sounds pretty much like you had forgot!
The mot was arranged after I had to juggle my holiday arrangements and take and collect the car myself! This was also a 30 minute journey both ways which I could of done without.

We only popped in to do our "homework". We were met by a friendly salesperson who listened to what we wanted and needed the car for. He gave us some suggestions and we were able to test drive the model we liked. There was no hassling for us to sign or pay for anything there and then. I would have to agree with all the poor reviews on here about the Carshop in Norwich, staff are very untrained in knowledge of cars and car sales. I found this a new experience , having always bought my cars at a dealership. It was nice to be met by the person who deals with you and to left alone whilst looking at the vehicles. Having chosen my vehicle it was dealt with quickly and efficiently by all concerned . I had the vehicle specially cleaned and covered with whatever and proceeded to have 1 years guarantee ( about £600 extra) But still the vehicle was cheaper than elsewhere. I saw the vehicle I was interested in online. I reserved the vehicle with a £99 deposit and then went on a 115 mile trip from Essex to Norwich to view and test drive the vehicle. Having always been a little wary of car dealers, it was a pleasant surprise to experience the Car Shop attitude. There was no pushy selling and help and information was readily available from knowledgable staff. I dont tend to change my car very often, and then usually at a main dealer, foolishly I assumed that generally speaking, the format would be similar, not so. Spoilt for choice with cars for every pocket on offer. Could test drive as many as we wanted and didn't feel pressured into buying the first car we liked. Friendly and helpful staff and good value for money considering it is a large dealer. Only negative, once we agreed on a car the payment process involved many steps that felt like cheap sales tactics (i.e. extended warranty, fabric protection, special coat to protect paint, etc.). Found exactly the right car with low mileage at much lower price than expected. Customer service was excellent and very thorough and car was ready at time to suit us. Presentation of car at pick up was excellent. An even better experience might have included car already taxed when we picked it up and a full tank of petrol, even if this had to be added onto the price. Just like it says on the tin! I took the car in with an idea of what it was worth. The figure offered did not disappoint so agreed on the spot to sell. The cheque was quickly forthcoming, and in my hands before I had finished my coffee. Friendly efficient service. Was the car special? not really.It was ten years old and had 65k on the clock. After being sold a dodgy car by another dealer I headed for The Car Shop to see what they could do for me. Result was helpful staff who listened to my requirements, selected vehicles that were suited to my needs and budget. They gave good information on features of cars I test drove and didn't rush me when I kept changing my mind. We found the staff at the Carshop very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. We don't dither about when buying cars so we appreciated the speed of our transaction. We had very little problem trading in our Volvo V70 although I think the trade in price was a bit low. I liked the fact we drove away our new car the same day and it's been trouble free since then. My only gripe is we paid for the body and seats treatment and I don't think is was done by the fact that water soakes straight into the seat when its meant to sit on top allowing removal also we never received our £50 introduce a friend ( and they did buy a car). I saw the car i wanted online. Set the ball rolling to buy it. Was called up and advised i could have it delivered in a few days. Ask for it to be dleivered to my husbands work after 10am. The night before it was due to be dlivered, my husband got a call to say there was no tax on the car and we had paid for 12 months tax. I must admit that I did a lot of research on the net looking for the car I had in mind and wasn't going to be swayed! So therefore it was quite easy, went in, gave them the model etc, price range and was shown 2 or 3. Made my choice took it for a test drive, came back and paid the deposit.
