firstly look at the front page star ratings.
got it?
does that not say it all about this shabby, poorly run company?
let me tell you about our experiences.
found a car we liked on ac website.
only trouble was, it was in Scotland.we live in Yorkshire.
enquired.salesguy states the car was indeed, in pristine, unmarked condition.£18k,18 months old.
they even had there tech guy?????????e mail me a very poor quality video of the car.now we know why.
because the vehicle was not part of the motorstore. if I wanted the vehicle I would have to collect.fine.it was the style and model we wanted. and this was nearest to me which was available.we was assured the car was perfect.
after driving 5 hours to collect and part x my car, I arrived in Scotland.
the weather that day was wet.misty.had been raining and damp.
salesguy met me.and showed me the car.i noticed 2 deep scratches on the cill on passenger side, and brought this to his attention.
no worries pal.he quotes.we will take it to the body shop next door, and they will touch it up??
£18 k for a car and they are gonna touch it up with a pen?
didn't have a colour match pen on site, but said they would post me one?what!!!!for me to do?
11 hours total driving later I arrived home.still raining at this point.
next day bright and sunny so decided to wash car early morning.
car is now dry, what I saw regarding the condition of the vehicle was a total disgrace.i know what you are thinking.why didn't I see the condition when I collected the car.see above.
heres what we found on an £18k car.
unable to see engine component parts as covered in sand.
door edges scuffed and scratched.
alloys kerbed. x 4.terrible condition.
rear bumper had been filled to cover deep scratches.think a 2 year old sorted that task for them.
deep scuff marks under rear and front bumpers.
animal hair embedded into carpets and mats.
scuffs and scratches to nearly every panel.
don't think that this car was ever washed or cleaned before they handed it over to me.
just thrown out the door.
how do I know that?because the salesguy told me at a later conversation.the sales team even bring up in staff meetings regarding the condition of the vehicles pre sale.
managements answer.if they don't like it,let em go elsewhere.
spoke to gm at branch regarding the poor condition of the car.
he requested I e mail some photos.which I promptly did.
soon after I received a call from him admitting .yes, the condition is not acceptable ,and he would carry out nessasary repairs.
at this point I said no,i am rejecting the car and will need back my 2 year old 9000 miles pristine part exchange.
now he agreed instantly, without argument.now does that not tell you I just was not being a "fussy customer"
I arranged to drop of the car and collect my px the following Friday as I had work commitments.
another 5 hour drive later I returned the £18k 18month old car back to them.
waiting for my paperwork.eg.v5 for my px I was told they had sent of the traders slip to dvla.
I was told by the gm at ac at an earlier conversation, that no paperwork had been sent and nothing had been processed.
so, I had then to tax again my own vehicle as a new keeper just to get it back home.
thankfully I returned home with my car.
in total, because of there negligence and down right misconduct.it cost me money to deal with this guy run,no customer skills company.
so.from my experience.would you like to buy a car from ac?????????????
didn't think so.
