Does not do what it says on the tin

Recently travelled to Arnold Clark Inverness branch to view a one year old VW Passat 1.6 blue motion. I had reserved this car 5 days before travelling over 100 miles to see it. On arrival, the car was blocked in amongst several other cars, not ready for a test drive as I would have expected (they knew exactly when I was due to arrive)but the worst part was the fact the car did not have one panel without scratch marks or dents. The bonnet was so bad it looked like someone had mixed cement on it and the inside of the car was filthy. On pointing out the poor body condition, the saleswoman told me 'you wont find a car a year old without scratch marks on it' She's obviously had a sheltered life. The branch manager then arrived to assure me that the scratch marks were not a problem and they would just polish out. I realised at this point, if they believed I was going to pay 13,688 for this piece of junk they were taking me for a fool.
But Mr Manager continued that "It's just because the car has not been prepared that its looking this bad" Well HELLO !!! you had 5 days notice I was coming to see it. Of course I did not buy the car. This was my first and definitely my last experience with Arnold Clark.
