“Wonderful Motorhome Holiday”

This was our first motorhome holiday so we were unsure of how it would go but from the minute we arrived to pick up our motorhome we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff and put at ease. The motorhome was very clean and modern and had all the facilities we needed for a successful holiday. We do endeavour to provide the correct amount of information to ensure optimum enjoyment of the facilities contained with each motor home. We recognise that very many of our customers are new to motor homing so to provide too much information would also be unhelpful as muchof it would not be remembered when needed. We ensure a comprehensive handover is provided but also to support the information provided at this time, each vehicle is provided with a handbook, app and several telephone numbers should assistance be required at any point.

Very friendly staff, who were really helpful and kind before the holiday. Lovely motorhome, easy to drive. All in all, a fun week with the family on campsites round Norfolk. Camper vans top quality all you expect and more. A different destination every day. Eat meals in fantastic places with fantastic veiws. “Amazing Holiday”

We have just come back from a week in Scotland in a Motor Home.I can honestly say we had a great time from beginning to end. The motor home was fantastic. It had every thing we needed and was easy to drive. We booked a motor home last minute and I was amazed at the quick and professional service I received. When we collected the motor home it was spotless and every attention to detail was in it. “BEWARE - Extra Fees !”

BEWARE - Unbeatable Hire comes up with some of the cheapest quotes at first but then the additional fees soon mount up and make the quote higher than their competitors. The considerable booking fee was non refundable so you feel trapped in straight away. However, the booking process is very good. All done via email. Even digital signatures via Docusign software. Your reservation was made under the conditions of the Mighty Deal offer which did explain the potential for all charges which we have both previously acknowledged. As we have agreed the initial charge was in excess of the prescribed rate but this has subsequently been amended. We rebranded the depot fleet vehicles as UnbeatableHire Limited. Enquiries for MotorHolme Limited are handled via our telephone sales team whereas UnbeatableHire is a web based booking service. “They take your deposit!”

The hire process is very suspicious all from the start, and sure enough, I have returned the motorhome in better condition than when I recieved it, and filled the tank up more, yet they have not returned my £121 deposit. They have not sent me any details why they have not returned the deposit. They take the liberty of charging you extra for card fees, to remove money from your account they should not take. I have finally seen in my credit card account that you have refunded the deposit, minus your fees though. If you sincerely have changed the company culture, then I applaud you, but it appears that these "delays and errors" are always in your favour and so the customer experience is one of being treated unfairly. I do hope you can change this around, but unbeatable hires reputation is pretty poor in the motorhome arena.

It is now 5 days later...
This pretty much mirrors what happened to me, except I am not a UK citizen so the deposit was £1250. I think they count on the hires forgetting about the deposit. Anyhow, her response below is pretty similar to the bs the same person has been feeding me, with the latest email as late as today (08/12/2014)....so nothing has changed. Fortunately, I have managed to retrieve all except for £45 in "fees"....but it has taken me well over 2 months.

I would also like to add that I have tried the phone number over 10 times now and been on hold and have never managed to get through. I assume with it being an 0845 number that I've been charged significantly for the pleasure?

Why extra fees with Unbeatable hire ?

Admin fee, credit card fee, fees for a few points on your driving licence, etc.

Just make the WHOLE process streamlined online and include any fees in the final price.

Adding extra fees after paying for the booking will just upset customers and lose you business in the long run.

Also an 0845 number is taking the mick. Make it a freephone 0800 number !
