“£25 for three passport photos”

Written on: 11/07/2012 by nathay (1 review written)

Normally when I have bought passport photos in the past they come in packs of 4. I assumed this would be the case for US passport photos as well. I only needed three to apply for a US visa. I reluctantly accepted the insane £15 charge but when I noticed that I'd received only two I advised them I needed three. I was told I'd have to buy a new set of two as they can only sell in sets of 2 for another £15. I was upset by this but finally gave up and relented as I had little time to waste arguing with them saying 'Fine, take the money' and handing them my card. At this point the manager of the location in Camberwell launched into what can only be described as a 3 year style tantrum, yelling pointing his finger and accusing me of being a 'bully' for saying I should have been informed that for £15 I would only receive two photos. A man in his 50s at least should be embarassed for the kind of behaviour I saw from him. I've made a formal complaint to Snappy Snaps corporate about this. His little show ended with him stomping out the front door making more rude comments as he passed by me. I've seen some poor customer service in this country but my experience at Snappy Snaps in Camberwell, was one for the record books. Unless I receive an apology from Snappy Snaps corporate I will never use any of their branches again (they work off a franchise system and the individual I'm writing about was actually the owner/manager). If that's management, I don't think I'd be missing anything!

I should comment here that in the end they relented and gave me the 3rd picture for £10 to make £25 as opposed to two sets of 2 for £30. But frankly whatever pathetic gesture that was was irrelevant after taking abuse from the store manager.
