Ordered a £669 lens which I needed the next day for a photoshoot. It was ordered with "Guaranteed Next Day Delivery". By 4pm the following day it hadn't shown up so called them and was told "oh, sorry, it's not left the warehouse yet, it won't be delivered today.
So nobody had bothered to have the basic courtesy to contact me to tell me that Jessops weren't going to bother to send a £669 order when they promised.
I asked to cancel the order but miraculously their computers were down and they couldn't. I was promised a call back - nobody bothered to call. I called them again later in the day and they promised me the order was cancelled.
The following day they delivered the item regardless and charged me accordingly.
I called them and wrote to them several times and got absolutely nowhere. I had to involve my Credit Card company to formally dispute the charge in order to get a refund.
JESSOPS, here is a hint. Someone who spends £669 on a lens tends to be the sort of person that spends a LOT of money on photography. Not only that, they tend to know lots of other people who spend a lot of photography also. Guess what. YOU'VE BLOWN IT.... not only will I NEVER use you again, I will also tell everyone I know about my experience and encourage them to take their custom elsewhere.
