I have been with Cahoot around 5 years, not had any problems, interest rates seem better than average, especially as there is a savings account option tied to the current account, funds in which are accessible within a couple of days just by transferring back to the current account.The webcard facility is excellent protection against internet fraud when buying online. Bank transfers can take a few days, I dont konw if that's slow but doesnt bother ...

I've banked with Cahoot for years without any problems. A fraud problem was dealt with efficiently, and my other dealings with customer service have also been very good. I like the fact that you pay in cheques via the post (not that I have many to pay in). Website is easy to use, and availability is generally very good. 1. Extremely slow money transfers to other accounts in comparison to other banks
2. The 'account alerts' are pointless - whats the use if they come through 2 days after the debit/credit that you were wanting to be alerted to?
3. Standing orders are not showing as going out of my account until nearly 5pm... useless when you're trying to keep track of your money in the morning
4. The staff are... to put it politely - Idiots

I had a cahoot credit card for a couple of years. When I became ill and couldn't keep my payments, I contacted them through the consumer credit counselling service.
My other creditors understood my problem and agreed to withhold interest and late fees, until I could pay more, Cahoot refused.
I considered this unreasonable considering I had developed a disability and couldn't work. It's unethical to heap problems onto people in severe difficulties, something other creditors at least ...

When I attempted to buy things online my payment was never authorized. Their customer service explained to me many months after I opened my account that their webcard does not work on a MAC, which is what I have got, and for this reason I cannot complete my payments online by typing in my card number.
