Good training but the organisation staff was rude & lied

I had been ridig a moped for two years and wanted to do my full test. I decided to use think bike rather than west London motorcycle training (in Feltham) as it was more local, and I was also promised multiple times by a female administrator whilst booking that they had tests available for both an a1 test and an a2 test. I had trouble getting the price down from an uncompetitive price to a lower one. When I went to book the 4 day training however, I first confirmed that they had test dates available for the Thursday and Friday, and then tried to buy the discounted price I had been offered. She was very relectant to give me the deal previously discussed but eventually relented.

The four day training was absolutely brilliant, I went out with two different male trainers and felt very safe in their care. On the first day however I was shocked when I went out on a ride with the woman I had talked to on the phone, and another girl who was looking to do her full bike test. After the ride she debriefed us, and called the other girl "stupid" and "dangerous" when it was only her second turn on a geared bike. When I asked what she thought of me, she said she hadn't been looking (this was my first turn out on public roads on a geared bike too). The first training day which I was told on the phone would finish at midday finished at 4pm, I was late for my own birthday party.

After three days of training I was finally told when my A1 test would be, it would be near brighton and I would need to get up at 4am toget there on time. None of this was mentioned previously. We drove down, it sleeted, rained and was freezing. That day we were told that the next day we wouldn't be doing our a2 test. I said that I had booked under the promise that there was a test available, I was then told that she had never said anything of the sort and given many excuses.

I called them up at home and talked to the female trainer, I thought that she was incredibly rude, I handed the phone to my mother who has a working knowledge of business law, and she too was shocked by her, frankly rude, attitude towards her. The female trainer tried to undermine my statement that she had promised an available test date, seemed to look down on me due to my age, and asked what business my mother had to even talk to her. She said that she would re shedule the test and give it for free (which was included in the price anyways). We said that we wanted an apology and she refused. We then asked which slots were available in the future,I said that I had an exam and would have to check my availability, but that would they please reserve the slot in question, I logged on to the DSA website and found that the supposed slot that had been saved for me was back online and listed as available. We called think bike up again and found that she had deleted the booking, apparently out of pure spite. We eventually booked the test ourselves and demanded that they paid for it, which they finally did only when we travelled up to their mainoffice in Coulsdon (1hour drive away).

Overall the treatment was very upsetting, I passed my test due to the superior coaching of the make coaches that I had, they were helpful, polite and reassuring. They actively tried to protect the riders on the road. The ratio was 2 students to 1 instructor. The upsetting part was the lies told to seal a sale, the refusal to apologise, and the rudeness that we were treated with. We had spent over £600 with the company and thought that common courtesy would be a given. I would recommend the training but to be very careful with the administration.
