The Screwtape Letters is a creative collection of letters that were sent by one of the "upper management" demons of Hell to a "lower-level" employee tasked with tempting a particular human, so as to win a soul for the Devil. What is appealing about this book is the way in which Christianity, God and humanity are portrayed. God is referenced as "the Enemy", while Humanity is both despised - out of jealousy - and admired by the demons.

Tis book has got to be one of the best books ever written. A fantastic story line with thrilling adventures.

I'm not sure how to approach this. I love C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity. It is a good overview of orthodox Christianity. There will be areas you will discover that probably don't fit with every part of your denominations doctrine, but it will fall into what I've heard called "in house arguments". I do recommend this book, as I do all written by C. S. Lewis. This is a good study to begin looking at your own "system of beliefs". It helps us realize that "doctrines" are important in how they ...

The Chronicles of Narnia is about 4 children, Lucy, Susan, Peter and Edmand. They had to be sent away from home because of a war. They found Narnia when they were playing hide and seek.
