Nationwide facilitated a loan for my company and they were great. They were very professional when I spoke with them or met with any representative from the company. I had a dedicated account manager who I was able to deal with until the loan was completed. The loan rate was also very good with tax benefits and I was able to use the money to expand without taking the funds out of my cash flow. I have had experience with these they are polite but please stay away as you will need to read the small print before having finance from them. we ended up paying approx 80% back in interest on top of your original loan. They give you the finance after listing goods you own and we was told this was just as security and they would lease the goods to you they then give you the loan over an agreed term and yes it seemed expensive at the time but we needed quick cash. I would recommend contacting Nationwide if your hunting around for a low rate loan. We were looking for a business loan to buy 5 forklift trucks for the warehouse. After speaking at length with various banks I found Nationwide and got in contact. They were knowledgeable, responsive and professional. I had been looking for a loan to purchase my own generators as I had been spending a lot of money hiring them for jobs. A friend with his own building company recommended them to me as they had financed a new pick up and digger for him. Having been with HSBC for years, I applied to them for a business loan to get the rest of the money I needed to buy a new premesis. Even with a profit making business and a home with no mortgage my bank manager said they could not help (received a letter three weeks later). I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a business loan. They can refinance equipment you already own and then pay you the money wich means no charge on property.! You need to spend money these days to be competitive with other companies. I wanted to spend money on advertising and marketing to bring in more business and get my name out there. Spent weeks contacting high street banks about getting a business loan. All came to nothing and wasted so much time and effort. These guys were fantastic! My business has been established for nearly 20 years, so I was very surprised when my bank sent me a letter saying they were going to reduce my overdraft. The implications of this was very serious as I relied on the overdraft for small periods while waiting for payments to come in of work done. I contacted Nationwide to enquire about a business loan of £20k. Needing cashflow and wanting to take on extra staff my business didn't have deep enough pockets to outlay that kind of money. What they were able to offer was a low rate APR business loan, with very affordable repayments that didn't put my business under stress. Nationwide have rates starting from 3% flat which they offer on Commercial Loans, Asset Finance, Cash Flow Finance and Refinance. They only deal with Businesses and are very much still lending to businesses (unlike many others. They give decisions on their finance products within 3 hours. We applied on the Tuesday and by 5pm on Wednesday afternoon the money was in our account. They offer a great service with very cheap rates. I recommend they to you. Bobby. (read more)
