I have being trying to setup a new small business account with HSBC via on-line and the phone.
It takes 1 week between before HSBC staff action any documents, respond or send out any documents, contrary to what they told me or say.
They will not provide an account number, etc. even though I am apparently approved.
I am even an existing personal banking customer and they are still trying to perform identify/reference checks via snail mail, etc. after being told this is not needed as I am known to them.
The final straw was the last phone call where a totally unhelpful HSBC person told me that is the way it is and would not help further and refused to transfer me to a supervisor.
Process comes before the customer!
I am off to a competitor
