My business banked with HSBC for close to a decade, then they sold all the branches in Upstate NY where we had opened the account (we are not longer in that region which is 400 hundred miles away). They told me I had to apply to open a new account, but after over 6 months, they still haven't opened it. The branch manager where I have my personal checking and savings says the the HQ is refusing to open it because a portion of my business is internet related.

Anyone who would like to bring a class action suit again HSBC, please contact me.

I have two personal accounts and one business checking account with HSBC. My accountant told me to also open a business savings account. So, I went in to my branch with the paper work, spoke to my agent who filled out all the proper paper work and assured me the account should be open within a week or two at the most. That was back in APRIL. My agent has since left his job there and I've been passed around from the branch manager to some other yahoo at another branch. I call both of them once every couple weeks and they're always astonished that the account still hasn't been opened. This is RIDICULOUS. I'm in.
