The Spinney Experience

The Spinney Day Nursery Ltd is a Childrens' Day Nursery with two separate sites operating in Cheshire. The Nursery was established in February 1997 with the second Nursery opening in September 2008.

Whilst it is a Nursery it is still a business that employs staff and manages Health & Safety, taking its responsibilities for both very seriously. The Nursery sector is a very busy sector with constant change and amendment which often means that there is a constant danger of overlooking something that could either bring individuals into a dangerous situation or bring the nursery into a threatening position relating to either HR or Health & Safety.

For this very reason we contracted ourselves to Peninsula after having completed an exhaustive survey on what was available. We needed three separate things as far as I was concerned, Clarity, Simplicity and and easy means of keeping up to date with the many changes to both HR and Health & Safety legislation.

I am pleased to say that we have not been disappointed. We use it as a proactive as well as a reactive service which has meant that we have become extremely reassured that what we are doing is correct. It is just like having 'in-house departments' within your own company. The service is very easy and responsive which means there is little time wasted before a solution or suitable advice is arrived at. Running a business can be a very difficult affair in not just keeping up to date with your own technical area of expertise but also in those areas where you are less experienced. Both the HR and Health & Safety services give you a reference point and brings you into contact with people who really are experts.
