“Just Don't Do It!”

I'm experienced in voluntary sector funding but new to getting grants for business and was completely taken in by UK Business Grants and their promise to reimburse the membership fee if a grant was secured through them (I should have smelled the rat at that point). Having subscribed I found NOT ONE grant to which my company could apply.

I contacted them and got the expected BS but challenged them to find something I'd missed. The next day, they contacted me and agreed that there was nothing for my company, but because I had agreed to pay the fee- it was not refundable. DESPITE THEM AGREEING THEY COULD OFFER ME NO SERVICE THEY STILL CHARGED ME!

I WILL find a way to get even!

I wish I had read your review!!!!! I am nearly in tears because I have just experienced the same!

Their questionnaire doesn't ask enough information, the 2 "Programmes" that came up in the Funding finder I am not eligible for because I am working and have fairly good credit! If the questionnaire had asked me these things these results wouldn't have come up and I wouldn't have even considered paying the money!

I really don't know what to do, as someone trying to set up a business I have very little extra cash as now this is £400 down the toilet which I could've spent towards setting the business up myself!
