Disgusting service! Coach booked for 08.27 from Sutton due to arrive at Gatwick at 08.55 for internal BA flight at 10.25. I had no bags to check in. Check in closed 45 minutes before flight
Coach arrived at Sutton - at the wrong bus stop - at 09.25. Along the route the driver picked up people waiting for the 09.27 bus which made me even later!Arrived at Gatwick at 10am and was not allowed to check in.
Driver announced to the passengers on the bus that he was delayed due to being given a defective bus at Gatwick. He was then given a replacement bus which had no fuel. He said that he had begun the journey an hour late.
I telephoned customer services at 08.45 to ask about the location of the coach and was told there were no reported delays and any delay was probably due to traffic! Obviously incorrect when the driver said that he had started his journey about an hour late.
Total cost of holiday £467.80. I would like to claim compensation of £500.
