Decided to give Megabus a try to go to NYC from Syracuse. Bus arrived about 20 minutes late, and was already half-full of passengers from Rochester. The bus completely filled up with more than 50 people still waiting in line in the 20 degree cold, and they had no idea if or when another bus would be coming. I called customer service twice 30 minutes apart and was told both times "We're not the dispatchers, so we don't know. Call back in 15 minutes." When I asked for a refund so we could take Greyhound instead, they said I have to submit it online and they can't help with that or promise anything. About 2 hours after the original departure time, we were emailed with an update that there would be a bus from another company, but at that point we were already on Greyhound. What a waste of a morning!
