I prebooked my easybus ticket in the hotel before leaving and when I arrived in Gatwick, first it was difficult to find the easy bus stop because there were no signs once you were leaving the doors of the airport and to the right and left there was construction going on.
When the bus came, the driver said that I have no ticket even though I was showing him the screen of my iphone to prove I had. I had the reference number and all but he brushed me aside and said that I am not coming on the bus. When I asked why, he told me those are his rules and good bye. This was at 1am in Gatwick on a Monday morning.
The bus on top of that was half empty.
I decided I was not letting go, and went inside with my little trolley bag and handbag. When he noticed that he jumped inside the bus and proceeded to tug me at my jacket and handbag yelling like a mad man that he will call the police. I said fine go ahead. He didnt and again tried to push me off the bus.
This is when another passenger, male, confronted him and and told him to call his manager to sort this out properly. After a barrage of yells from the driver, that he has his own rules and wont change his mind he finally gave in. He called his manager and said that I have no ticket and wont get off the bus. Thats when I went closer to his phone and yelled that I have a ticket and that he was harassing me. He was told to take me and that was it.
Easyjet is an airline that makes no pretence that you are not a client, but cattle. But Easybus is a whole new psychopath story all together.
Avoid if you are a petite woman traveling on he own. If it hadnt been for the fellow passenger, I would have been traveling for the rest of the night on buses in unknown circumstances.
