Woking area services I don't know why they keep running a miserable apology for a bus 'service'
You would think after being bought out by German railways things would improve but instead they are getting worse.
I thought this afternoon all their services must have packed up. From St Johns to Woking I waited over 30 mins. 3 buses that were supposed to come never did. Only 1 bus in the opposite direct came.
Even when getting on at Guildford they sometimes leave late.
Drivers are often indifferent or downright grumpy and unhelpful but then I suppose working for a company like this is enough to make someone grumpy.
Its now often quicker (and on a nice day) more pleasant to walk the 3 miles into town than wait for a bus that is either late or never turns up.
No small wonder in the news recently it was reported that outside of London there has been a 16% drop in bus usage in the past year.
Arriva do absolutely NOTHING to encourage people to use buses. A good reliable imaginative service at reasonable cost would encourage people to use buses instead of a car. Fares keep going up and up services get worse, customer relations costs 6p a minute to call.
