Our current mortgage is with YBS, we have sold our property and our offer on the new house was accepted. We wanted to continue with YBS as we had so far no problems with them. However transferring our mortgage is turning out to be a real nightmare. Even though we were assured that there are no issues we were asked to do a complete new mortgage application. The staff at our branch(London Strand)are extremely rude and utterly incompetent, demanding forms which do not exist, forms which are legally not required and on it goes. The staff is vague and unable to answer any questions. The forms they give you back are filled in wrong, which they make you aware of, as they are terrible with filling in forms in general, so they say. They are extremely disorganized and can not handle an intelligent conversation. We were told that it would take six to eight weeks until we would know the outcome. (why is anyone's guess) We are in danger of losing our dream house. Of course we are talking to a Broker now, trying to see the back of them ASAP. If you can avoid them do. Never ever, ever again!
