I applied for a mortgage more than 6 weeks ago and am still waiting for a formal offer. Valuation was done over 3 weeks ago and my "file" has been with the head office underwriter for over a week. Every day I'm told I will have the offer the following day. Still waiting and now am at risk of losing my property! Given I'm so far down the path with YBS I have no choice but to wait in hope the offer comes thru and sellers wait for me. There is no sense of urgency with YBS -- you'd think they didn't want any new business. Patience is wearing very thin!

Out of interest did you ever get this resolved? I've now had an application with them for a 6-7 weeks and not even had the valuer instructed!! getting quite annoyed now
