Whilst we have been given a good rate, the mortgage application process at Yorkshire Building Society has been the most stressful i have experienced!
After speaking to YBS about applying for a mortgage, our application form came back riddled with mistakes, including the product we had applied for! We had to make a large number of amendments before we could proceed. Not a great start. We have not been kept updated and in the loop. When we contact YBS for updates we are left without answers. At one point our contact went on holiday for a week and we were told to phone back once they were back in the office as nobody else could look at our account leading to even further delays. It has been well over a month (since our credit check was completed and application submitted) and we are still waiting for a decision and are now at risk of losing our purchase. I would not recommend a YBS mortgage.
