Read reviews on here,thought i post a positive one for once!

Applied for a skipton mortgage through a broker. She recomended skipton as they are more leanient if ypur credit score is not 100 percent squeaky clean (my partner had a default on his experian credit report from a previous address which e was unaware of until credit check,which we since paid but annoyingly still shows on report) got the decision in principle fine. Them did some research on here and read the reviews,thought we have no chance as my partner is also a sub contractor so very difficult to prove wages etc,always has different companies paying him etc. from decison in principle to actual mortgage offer took 4 weeks so a very long time waiting. Yes they coming back to us requesting more bank statements,more preof of my partners earnings, proof of him having work in place for the next 2 years. We were able to provide them with everything we could as best we could and luckily they approved everything! We are set to complete next week,every dealing i have had with skipton they have been very helpful,friendly, efficent and always get back to me when we have had a queery. I would deinitely recomend them and dont go on all the negative reviews on here as every case is different! I hope this helps anyone reading it and thinking of not going with skipton!
