Nationwide, despite all their security systems insist on letters to operate accounts. This could make my family homeless for christmas. I have been trying to access money for a house for 2 weeks and keep being told different advice. If I was told I could close the account two weeks ago with a letter this problem would not occurred. Staggeringly poor service.

I have numerous online accounts with Nationwide and have never needed to operate using any letters by post.
