I've had the Buell Lightning XB12SS for about 2 years now and have used it mainly for commuting and weekend grins. Overall, the Buell has proved very reliable but I am now looking at a number of minor warranty claims for things like belt tensioner barings and some crappy paintwork on the tail section. The Harley motor and poor quality control ruin what could be a very good bike. High maintenence, lots of things break, due to high vibration. Very troublesome, needs a lot repairs. Great bike for the price and tons of fun on any twisty road/track. Flicks easily in and out of turns. Lots of torque, great braking power, and quick throttle reponse.

As a new, female rider (5-6") I find this bike absolutely perfect! no complaints! It is so easy to manuever in all conditions. My opinion, you would only need something "more" for your ego, not for the ride. it is fast, easy on the eyes, and a "blast!"
