Decent service

Exchanged over to virgin from O2 broadband about 1.5 years ago now.

Have rarely had any dropping connections, and when there have been its my end, or routine maintenance on virgins part (cant complain about a company performing maintenance and upgrades!).

Have paid for 30mb broadband and usually reach 30mb. Times that I don't are the busy periods where I get maybe 20mb. Even then, it's not that common, and 20mb is still plenty fast enough.

I've had a letter recently saying prices are going up and that so is my package, so maybe im going to 60mb broadband soon?

It is slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for at the end of the day. I get phoneline, TV and excellent speed broadband for £30 a month. Most other packages are £22+ anyway, but are limited to rubbish copper BT wire cables 8mb speeds, which drop to 2mb during busy periods.

My main want of the package is the broadband, so I am happy to pay a couple extra quiid a month for literally multiple times faster broadband even when it is busy and not performing to its best.

Customer service seemed fine. Haven't had to phone them up TBH because the service is mostly flawless and never had to complain or phone up to get something fixed.

I live in the middle of Kent, if that helps anyone in terms of location.

CHECK YOUR POSTCODE before purchasing. Some areas hardware is at near max capacity or isn't as updated so your 100mb broadband wont ever get to 100mb. Mine couldnt reach 100, and just about reached 60 on analysis so I went for the 30mb package. You cant blame a company for your own misgivings and lack of research.
